ABOUT THE WRITERS:
heeyun park 박희윤 is an actor, singer and creator. She won both the Dora Mavor Moore award and the Toronto Critic's Choice Award for her performance as Princess Mary in the Canadian Premiere of "Natasha... Great Comet of 1812" (Crow's Theatre and Musical Stage Company) which will be at Mirvish next summer. She recently returned from Chicago to workshop "HANS: My Life in Fairy Tales" with Rick Miller's company Kidoons and is also a part of his new play, "MONEY". Heeyun is a graduate of the Acting program at the National Theatre School of Canada and also holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance at the University of Alberta. She has a play in development called "arachne" about female friendship and rivalry (like, the charli xcx ft. lorde song) in support from the CCA. You can catch her as Little Red Ridinghood at Koerner Hall this December.
Hilary Wheeler is a queer, Chinese-Canadian mixed race actor, musician, and playwright. She is a recent graduate from the Acting program at the National Theatre School of Canada (NTS). Her play The List, is an interactive solo show about modern dating and is in development thanks to the Canada Council of the Arts. Hilary’s short solo show Media Zoo has been featured in Theatre SKAM’s Skampede, and she’s a past participant in PlayME Podcast/Expect Theatre’s playwriting unit. Select acting credits include Transhumance (Corpus Dance Projects), Quest for the Moon (Weefestival), Selfie, The Paperbag Princess (Geordie Theatre), Bonus Points if You Have Air Conditioning, Everybody, To Those Who Wait in Fear (NTS), Macbeth, Love Labour’s Lost, Pericles (The Greater Victoria Shakespeare Festival). ABOUT THE WRITERS:
Gregory Prest is a multi-award-winning actor, director, writer, and theatre creator. His plays include De Profundis: Oscar Wilde in Jail (Dora Award for Outstanding New Musical, Toronto Theatre Critics’ Award for Best Direction of a Musical) and Bremen Town (nominated for 6 Dora Awards including Outstanding New Play). His directing work includes Rose: A New Musical (Dora Award), Hosanna, The Heidi Chronicles (Soulpepper); Punk Rock (Howland Company); and Fish Eyes (TPM, Canadian Tour, The Other Festival – Chennai, India). Gregory has performed as an actor with Soulpepper (over 40 shows), Canadian Stage, Crow’s, Tarragon, YPT and played Ron Weasley in the Toronto production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Upcoming: acting in The Bidding War (Crow’s) and Casey and Diana (Theatre Aquarius/MTC).
Landon Doak (They/Them) is an award-winning actor and singer-songwriter based in Toronto. They are the Associate Artist of Bad Hats Theatre, a recent Musical Stage Company’s Dan Fund recipient, and former faculty at Sheridan College.
Writing credits for Bad Hats include: Narnia, Alice in Wonderland, (Dora Award - Outstanding New Musical), Peter Pan (Dora Awards - Outstanding Ensemble, Production), Life in a Box (Dora Award - Outstanding New Musical).
