Setting: A study which transforms into a night nursery and, later, Neverland - an island of wonder.
History: 1 tour across Toronto to local breweries (2016), 3 productions at Soulpepper Theatre in Toronto (2017, 2018, 2019), 1 tour across Ontario with Carousel Players (2018). Peter Pan has been licensed by: Carousel Theatre For Young People (Vancouver), Citadel Theatre (Edmonton), YES Theatre (Sudbury), and The Globe Theatre (Regina), Shakespeare By The Sea (Halifax), Goderich Little Theatre (Goderich).
Recognition: Peter Pan won 3 Dora Mavor Moore Awards in 2017 including Outstanding Production, Outstanding Direction, and Outstanding New Play. It was recognized on the Globe and Mail’s ‘Best in Canada’ list in 2018.
SYNOPSIS
A man sits alone in his study, as he does every night, to read the paper. On this particularly strange evening, he discovers his paper has been replaced with a book: The Story of Peter Pan. As he begins to read, the story comes to life around him; the Darling children at play in their nursery, and a strange boy who flies in through the window. As he reads on, he takes on the role of our unlikely narrator, Mr. Smee, as the children fly out the window toward Neverland with Peter Pan.

“All children grow up, except one” says the book, but this adaptation of the beloved tale questions whether children ever have to, or ever do. Peter Pan is a raucous, ensemble-driven adventure centered around play. Inspired by the essence of childhood imagination, this show will remind you that you’re never too old to make believe.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND

Setting: A grade 5 / 6 classroom, followed by Wonderland - a parallel dream version of the classroom.
Recognition: Alice In Wonderland was nominated for 13 Dora Mavor Moore Awards in 2023 and won 6 including Outstanding Production, Outstanding New Musical, Outstanding Performance, Outstanding Direction, Outstanding Choreography, and Outstanding Design.
SYNOPSIS
Alice, a curious girl with infinite questions, is struggling to finish her homework assignment: What will you be when you grow up? When her ongoing questions disrupt the class, she’s sent to the corner to finish her work. Out the window she spots a white rabbit running through the school yard, she follows it and finds herself on an adventure through Wonderland, an upside-down reflection of the strange world she knows, full of even stranger characters, rules and responsibilities. Alice meets the ruler of Wonderland, The Red Queen, and embarks on a quest to cross a great chessboard, reach the eighth square, and become a Queen herself. When she gets there, the prize looks a little different than she expected.

Alice in Wonderland is a fast-paced, whimsically heartfelt meditation on the complexities of peeking into young adulthood. Do the rules of the world we’re inheriting make sense? Is it true that once we’re grown up, we stop growing?
